First Bank Honored by Institute for Extraordinary Banking®
First Bank was just named one of the top three extraordinary banks in the United States by the Institute for Extraordinary Banking®. First Bank was recognized with the Institute’s Overall Excellence Banky® Award for exemplary performance in five areas of banking – philanthropy, customer service, thought leadership, workplace culture and financial literacy education. First Bank was also named a finalist for the 2016 Extraordinary Banking™ Award – a top banking honor in the nation.
“We are honored to have been named an Extraordinary Banker finalist,” said First Bank’s President and CEO Al Fritschle. “Our team has worked extremely hard over the past 18 months to add more value for our clients and our communities. First Bank has always been a good bank, but our efforts are taking us to the next level.”
The Extraordinary Banking™ Awards exist to highlight the vital, yet often overlooked, role that local, community banks play in our economy. This year, the Bankys recognized the top 1 percent, just 60 of the 6,000 community banks in America.
